A: Yes, the change to (TBHEC) is happening (August-2020). This will be discussed, as well as any changes that might affect current LPC’s after the two organizations merge.

A: In short, Yes!

In 2019 the law requiring the 40-hour LPC supervisor training to be offered only by an approved provider changed. Now, the LPC board only requires that the course instructor to be an LPC Supervisor. Additionally, the LPC regulations require LPC Supervisor training courses to meet certain criteria. This online/live course meets the LPC regulations.   In to these two critera, your trainer is also a doctoral student of Counselor Education at Texas A&M Commerce.

A: Yes, it did. Limits for online CEs were removed in 2019 from the Texas LPC Regulations.

A: No. The LPC rules allow you to submit your paperwork for the supervisor designation only after you have been licensed for five years (60 months).

However, the certificate for this course will last for 24 months.  Therefore, you can take this course within your 24 month window of practicing for 5 years and THEN immediately turn in your paperwork to receive your Supervisor certification.

Taking the course now ‘Grandfathers’ you in prior to any future changes in rules, regulations, or additions to the time it may take to receive the Supervisor title.

It will also lock you into the current price structurer prior to any potential increases within the next 24 months.

A: If you are an LPC, according to Texas LPC 681.147 you have 90 days to complete the course requirements.

I start the 90-day clock at the first day of any online work once you have signed up and paid for the course.  From that point, you have 90 calendar days to complete all of your coursework.

A: I understand other training companies only hold classes based on a minimum number of registrants, etc. All courses are held as scheduled. In the event of disruption of course schedule due to inclement weather, natural disaster, registrant’s personal reason, provider cancellation, etc., registrants can attend any alternative course of their choosing within 12 months without incurring additional expense. We can transfer over an in-person course to an at-home training whenever possible. Registrants are notified of any course change via the email address provided with registration. There are no refunds, so please make sure that you can attend before registering for a live course.
